Amycretin activates both the GLP-1 and the amylin receptor in a single molecule. Both pathways independently suppress appetite and food intake — the combination is intended to amplify the effect beyond the GLP-1 axis alone.

Pramlintid

Pramlintide mimics the beta-cell hormone amylin, which is co-secreted with insulin. It slows gastric emptying, suppresses postprandial glucagon release and promotes satiety — thereby blunting post-meal blood-glucose spikes.
