Meccanismo d'azione
Amycretin
Amycretin activates both the GLP-1 and the amylin receptor in a single molecule. Both pathways independently suppress appetite and food intake — the combination is intended to amplify the effect beyond the GLP-1 axis alone.
Pramlintid
Pramlintide mimics the beta-cell hormone amylin, which is co-secreted with insulin. It slows gastric emptying, suppresses postprandial glucagon release and promotes satiety — thereby blunting post-meal blood-glucose spikes.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between Amycretin and Pramlintid?
- Amycretin is classified as "Metabolico", while Pramlintid is classified as "Metabolico". Amycretin: Amycretin is a unimolecular GLP-1 and amylin receptor agonist from Novo Nordisk — in development both as a once-weekly subcutaneous and a once-daily oral form for obesity and type 2 diabetes. Pramlintid: Pramlintide is a synthetic analog of the hormone amylin. It is used as an adjunct to mealtime insulin therapy in type 1 and type 2 diabetes and, among other things, slows gastric emptying. This page contrasts both neutrally and source-based — with no usage or dosing recommendation.
- Which peptide is better supported by science, Amycretin or Pramlintid?
- The highest available evidence level is "RCT sull'uomo" for Amycretin and "RCT sull'uomo" for Pramlintid. A higher evidence level means more robust data, but says nothing about suitability for an individual. The full body of evidence is on each peptide's own page.
- What is the legal status of Amycretin and Pramlintid in Germany and the United States?
- Germania: Amycretin — Non approvato, Pramlintid — Non approvato. Stati Uniti: Amycretin — Non approvato, Pramlintid — Su prescrizione. These are factual summaries with source and review date on the individual pages.
